More successful Empirica projects concluded in first half of 2008
Empirica WMS installations have been completed for three new customers in the first half of 2008. Suttons Distribution, Peppers Warehousing and Knights of Old are all now operating live with the system after successful implementation projects.
SUTTONS DISTRIBUTION
Suttons Distribution, the logistics division of the famous UK transport industry name have installed the Empirica WMS to control stock at their distribution warehouse where a mixture of FMCG, white and electronic goods, forestry and packaging products are stored. The Empirica solution replaces a previous WMS solution from Chess used by the company for many years. Suttons Group is also a major tank logistics operator active in the UK and worldwide.
PEPPERS WAREHOUSING
Worksop based Peppers Warehousing offer specialist warehouse and distribution services for a range of products including garments and consumer goods for high street retailers. At their 15,000 pallet customs bonded store they provide flexible solutions with emphasis on personal service and best practice, including specialist pre-retailing services. The Empirica WMS operates throughout the warehouse using handheld RF devices supplied by RF equipment specialists Belgravium.
KNIGHTS OF OLD
Knights of Old, based in Kettering Northants, are an established logistics provider offering a diverse range of services including UK and European logistics, warehousing, air and sea freight and export packing. Empirica WMS has been implemented to replace older legacy systems and form the base of IT solutions to support both current customers and future growth. Knights 100,000 sq ft warehouse stores varied goods including foodstuffs, fashion items, toys, paper and IT products.
